Online Training Sessions

Having completed my level three and four diplomas in Canine Behaviour, Training and Welfare and gaining level five and six Canine Behaviourist status, I offer online training and behaviour sessions. This is great for those further afield or if you would feel more comfortable training from the comfort of your own home.

Having worked with dogs for the past 7+ years I have always been keen to help those with training and behavioural needs, from puppies right up to adults (an old dog can learn new tricks!). We use only force free and science backed methods in our training, ensuring the most success for you and your dog. We believe training should be positive, fun and relationship based to help reinforce your bond as owner and dog.

What does online training involve?

The type of training offered depends on you and your dogs specific needs.  Training sessions are held online via Whatsapp Video or Zoom. You may find one session to be adequate for you, however, more sessions may be necessary to help deal with specific issues and offer guidance.

What issues can I help with?

As a qualified trainer I am able to help with the following:

  • Basic obedience
  • General manners (such as door manners)
  • Recall
  • Lead walking
  • Useful cues (such as leave it)
  • Focus work
  • Barking
  • Excitability
  • Impulse control

Training or behaviour route?

Here at Thaxted Pet Co, I offer both a training and behavioural route for clients. As a qualified Canine Behaviourist I am able to help with basic training as well as more complex behavioural issues. The type of help offered to you will depend on the specific issues you are facing. For example, if you are looking for help with a dogs recall and lead walking on walks then this can be addressed in a training capacity. However, if you are finding your dog to be reactive and anxious on walks, this would need to be looked at in more detail and dealt with under the behavioural route. This is because behavioural issues such as reactivity and anxiety are more complex and in order to address this correctly, the reasons behind why the dog is displaying these behaviours needs to be assessed.

I also offer online consultations for behavioural work, depending on the issues you are facing. More information on behavioural consultations can be found HERE.
